Foster Agreement
  1. This agreement is entered into between Foster Friends Network otherwise known as FFN and the undersigned, hereinafter referred to as “Foster”.
  2. Foster agrees to give the rescued dog food, indoor shelter, and kind and loving care for a limited period of time. Foster agrees to notify FFN immediately if the dog escapes or becomes ill.
  3. Foster understands that FFN may not have prior knowledge of the dog’s temperament, and will take due care to protect anyone who may come into contact with the dog from harm.
  4. Foster will not seek to hold FFN responsible for damage to property or injury to persons or other animals while foster dog(s) is in the care of foster.
  5. FFN will be financially responsible for any veterinary care it deems necessary for the fostered dog at a veterinarian of FFN’s choice, if prior written approval has been received from FFN, and if Foster’s neglect or misconduct did not cause the needed care.
  6. Foster agrees that any dog fostered by him/her remains the property of FFN, and that Foster will not relocate the dog from the primary residence of Foster or dispose of it in any manner without prior written notice and approval of FFN.
  7. Foster will return the dog to an FFN representative immediately upon request.
  8. If Foster desires to adopt the foster dog, and FFN agrees the adoption is appropriate, FFN will provide an Adoption Agreement to Foster. Foster agrees to sign and return said contract within 7 days of receiving it, together with said dog’s adoption fee, unless other arrangements have been agreed to in writing.

Please be aware of the following.

Homes with dogs who have aggressive behavior will NOT be considered for fostering.

As an organization we do attempt to pull healthy dogs from the shelter. However, it is common for shelter dogs to have a mild and treatable upper respiratory infection know as “Kennel Cough.”

We do not allow our dogs to be kept exclusively outdoors!
